I was born in Victoria, BC, Canada and came to Oregon in 1963. I graduated from Junction City, High School in 1970 and attended, and received both my Bachelor's degree in Political Science and History and my Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon.

I spent four years as a Captain in the Air Force as a Judge Advocate serving in Texas and then in Turkey, practicing as a prosecutor, contract and claims administrator and in Turkey in international law and disputes resolution.

I have enjoyed Albany having married and settled down here after separating from the Air Force and have had my own practice for almost forty years. I have practiced in many areas over the course of my career but currently focus on estate planning, probate, business and corporate law, and corporate property law.

In my free time I have been involved in Scouting as Calapooia District, Linn County's Vice-Chairman and a committee member of Troop 322 in Albany. I enjoy all types of outdoor experiences with the scouts including hiking, camping, fishing and in developing and supervising many scouting programs for the young men and young women of Linn County.
